JYGA Expands Team
JYGA Technologiesbased in Quebec, designer and manufacturer of the Gestal feeding systems, has named Dr. Hyatt Frobose as its new United States Territory Manager and Swine Nutrition Specialist.
Dr. Frobose will be in charge of managing and increasing the sales and distribution network of Gestal’s branded products. Dr. Frobose will also serve in a technical role specializing in applied research in swine nutrition. Given the increasing demand for the Gestal Solo in lactation and the Gestal 3G in gestation group housing, JYGA Technologies expands its efforts in the US and Dr. Frobose will spearhead this drive.

Dr. Richard Leach
Dr. Leach obtained his Ph.D. in Genetics from the University of Edinburgh’s Roslin Institute and his B.Sc. in Genetics from the University of Liverpool. With this academic training, he will bring both a quantitative and molecular genetics focus to the Fast Genetics team. Dr. Leach has previously worked in the swine genetics industry as well as in research with the United States Department of Agriculture. Based in the US, Dr. Leach will contribute to Fast Genetics’ research and development programs, as well as provide technical support for Fast Genetics’ US operations. Dr. Leach will report to Dr. Steve Sornsen, Fast Genetics’ Director of US Business Development.
Dr. Daniela Grossi
Dr. Grossi obtained her D.V.M. from Universidade de Marilia in Brazil and M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Genetics and Animal Breeding from Universidade Estadual Paulista in Brazil. Previous Post-Doctoral Researcher at the University of Guelph and Statistical Geneticist with a genomics laboratory, Dr. Grossi brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in genomics, quantitative genetics, and veterinary medicine. Dr. Grossi will be based out of Fast Genetics’ head office in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. She will report to Murray Duggan, Fast Genetics’ Senior Geneticist, focusing on all research and development programs, with particular emphasis on molecular genetics and genomic EBVs. •
Ralco Welcomes Newst Staff
Ralco announced recently that Jessica Fox, DVM has been appointed Corporate Technology Manager. Dr. Fox will oversee the advancement and market opportunities for Ralco’s patented technologies and intellectual property in the poultry, livestock and aquaculture industries.
Dr. Fox holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota. She was also 1 of 30 candidates chosen for Cornell University’s AQUAVET® I, and 1 of 6 candidates chosen for AQUAVET® III, two highly competitive programs that receive applications from veterinarians and veterinary students all over the world.
Dr. Fox will focus on Ralco’s corporate technologies and look for new ways to leverage and expand the technologies that have made Ralco an industry leader in agronomy, aquaculture, animal health and animal nutrition products for more than 40 years. Her unique experience and strong technical background will promote Ralco’s proprietary technologies and support the various technical teams at Ralco. •
